Atlas Privacy Policy
Atlas is a strategy workbench that runs on your Mac. It is designed local-first and built so labsly sees as little of your work as possible. This page is plain about what Atlas does with your data, what it does not, and what changes if you connect Atlas to a cloud AI provider.
Short version
- Atlas is a Mac application. It runs on your device. It does not phone home.
- labsly does not collect analytics, telemetry, crash reports, or usage statistics.
- Atlas has no account system. There is nothing to log in to.
- Your strategy projects (
.atlasprojfiles) are stored where you save them on your Mac. labsly never sees them. - The default AI runs on-device: Apple FoundationModels when Apple Intelligence is available, otherwise a local open-weight model you download once.
- You can optionally connect Atlas to a cloud AI provider. When you do, you provide your own API key and Atlas sends prompt content directly from your Mac to the provider you chose. labsly does not see, store, or relay that content.
What Atlas stores on your Mac
- Your projects. Atlas projects live as
.atlasprojdocument packages wherever you save them. They never leave your Mac unless you choose to share them. - Cloud AI API keys, if you provide them. API keys are stored in the macOS Keychain and used only to make requests directly to the provider you selected.
- Application preferences. A small amount of UI state, such as last-selected model and window size, lives in macOS user defaults on your Mac.
Cloud AI providers
Atlas defaults to on-device AI. You may optionally connect Atlas to Anthropic, OpenAI, or Ollama running locally on your Mac.
When you make a request through a cloud provider, Atlas sends your prompt content directly from your Mac to that provider, using the API key you provided. labsly does not see, log, store, or relay this content. The provider's own privacy terms govern what they do with it:

- Ollama: local loopback; no cloud transit
Downloading additional on-device models
Atlas can run third-party open-weight models on-device through MLX. Those weight files do not ship with Atlas; you choose to download them from Settings > Models. Atlas fetches the model's public files from HuggingFace.
- The request includes only the model's public repository name and file path.
- No API key, account, user identifier, or project content is sent.
- After download, the model runs on your device.

What Atlas does not do
- No analytics.
- No telemetry.
- No crash reporting.
- No advertising.
- No tracking across apps or websites. App Tracking Transparency does not apply.
- No account system.
- No data brokers. labsly does not sell, share, or trade user data because labsly does not collect user data to sell.
Children
Atlas is a professional strategy tool. It is not directed to children under 13 and labsly does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
Changes to this policy
Material changes to this policy will be reflected here with an updated effective date and surfaced in the app's About surface on first launch following the change. If a future Atlas version begins to collect data that this version does not, the App Store privacy label will be updated in the same release.
